VA Provides Policy Consulting for the European Commission on Future Developments

4 June 2024

The Foresight-on-Demand (FOD) framework contract enables the European Commission to quickly access future knowledge and enhance anticipatory capacities within its organizations. This knowledge, developed through participatory processes, guides Europe’s investment plans for science, technology, and innovation.

Foresight projects under FOD offer science-based, systemic, and participatory approaches to generate forward-looking knowledge, supporting current policy-making processes. These projects produce concrete outcomes like scenarios, visions, and action recommendations, shared via reports, blogs, and newsletters. Additionally, Foresight processes have indirect benefits, such as strengthening stakeholder networks through participatory workshops, events, Delphi surveys, and interviews, which support long-term agile and transformative policymaking.

We are excited to announce our four-year partnership in the FOD consortium for DG RTD, led by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology!
